3WW - Three Word Wednesday

Three Word Wednesday is a weekly writing exercise where we are given three words (go figure) and are supposed to be as creative as we can be with them.

The words this week are: dread, grasp and pacify.

Here is my work. I hope it is enjoyable to read.

High Volume Xmas Carols
by stu pidasso
19May2010

Reggae music with an Elvis slant
Zeppelin covers make the ears bleed
I just can't listen to gangsta rap

Dread Zeppelin is the house band
tearing the mother fucking house down
with their cheery Xmas tunes

drawn out torture in cd form
I grasp the volume control
turn it up, turn it up, boo yah!

break it down, load it up
drop an ice cube in and puff
pacify my mind, twisting off in time

Neighbors yelling from across the bush
windows rattle, keeping the beat
they just don't get the Santa in me

I got your stocking stuffer right here
I pay my mortgage and keep the lawn
and I'll be bumping 18s until the morn

opening presents and drinking cocoa
snug in my pjs in my living room
No hurries, no worries...I hung the moon.

Merry Xmas to all and to all....
